Fridge/Freezer advice – Winter faults

We don’t currently work on Fridges or freezers however we can give some advice regarding some common/small problems with them.

As we come into winter and colder temperatures some fridges and freezers will appear to be not working, especially if they are located in a garage/shed/conservatory that has extremes in temperature.  Most modern fridges and freezers have an ambient temperature detectors so if the temperature is very low outside it will stop working as it doesn’t need to do any  cooling.  When the temperature rises it will then start working again.

If you need to resolve this issue open both doors and leave for a few minutes and come back and it should be running.
